Running an Online Business
What avenues are best to bring customers to you and increase your visibility?
A very effective way to generate business, thus increasing your profits, is to talk to people you know; friends, families, neighbors, hit the pavement, spread the word to everyone you know, especially those who like your business and the products you have to offer. Be creative; if one of your products is a balloon consider going to all the restaurants in your area and make a deal to have your balloons given to the children who enter. When you go to businesses or friends take a few samples of your products to show them, leave your products with them so they can look at them while you are gone and then follow-up with them and find out what they think. Make them feel a part of your business.
Networking is a great way to make business contacts and you can do this almost anywhere that you go. Your local chamber of commerce often has networking functions where you can meet other business owners in your area. You can talk to them about their business and what works for them, exchange business cards. This is a great method for making contacts. After the social function make a point to go and visit their business, develop a relationship with them.
Be apart of a community with the people you want to do business with. Join the groups they congregate in. You want to be able to be a friend that provides advice and helps out. Speak to your friends and gain their trust. This will ensure that they will listen to your recommendations and will trust your instincts on this topic. The point is to make sure the people that are buying from you are not just buyers but trusted friends. They will be who brings you the most business. Word of mouth is the most powerful tool you have and is the hardest to get. This will let others in your community know that you are real and a person. Other questions to ask your self are as follows.
What can I do when I have been running an online home business site for a couple of years but your profits are not as strong as you would like? One thing to do is to review that you are getting enough traffic to your site, if you are satisfied with this aspect of your business you might want to consider increasing your sales through the method of follow-up promotions. The beauty of this idea is that it does not necessarily bring more hits to your site but it does bring more people to your site that will buy more of your products and this will generate more income. If you have customers, at least 30 percent of them will purchase from you again and this number will continue to grow if you use the follow-up techniques that are presented in this article.

Take a good look at your customer base and realize that you can have them buying many times from you than someone else if you follow-up with them. If they already like the product they purchased from you, there is a good chance if you offer them another product or a discount on what they already purchased, they will come back to your site and buy again, and then they will spread the news of your site to their friends. When customers like a product, they tell others. The more you follow-up and offer them items from your site the faster your profits will begin to increase.
One of the techniques used in the follow-up is to reward your customers for using your site and buying your products. In addition, you can reward them for referrals to others. Special notices that say thank you for their purchase or offering a small discount if they come back or refer your business to a friend are all great ways to increase your profit margin. Another technique is when your customer signs up at your sight are sure to send confirmation messages that their request was received though instead of simply saying, "we have received your request" add a little something extra in there. This is a great time to offer them something extra from your sight or a discount off there next purchase, be creative and you will be amazed at the responses you will receive.
The importance of this approach is to let your customers know that you are following-up with them to make sure they are happy with their purchase and that if they have any questions or concerns they can contact you. Do not overwhelm them with sales pitches let that become a secondary message. Make them feel like you really care about their satisfaction with your product.

Which is the Better MLM Pitch: Product or Opportunity?
Copyright 2006 Dr. Eileen Silva
The question of whether to lead with the product or the opportunity is an age-old debate. Over the years, I have vacillated between product emphasis and business opportunity emphasis, but if I could have only chosen one way . . . it would have been the product emphasis.
What matters today is no longer who can be the most convincing, what you or I think works, what you or I like to do, or what has historically generated the most end-line business. What is effective TODAY in this new millennium is changing, given the current economic conditions as well as evolving job circumstances for those still in the traditional job world.
Let me be a little bit more specific about those circumstances. In the olden days when I was entering the job market, you basically had one choice: take the job or don't take the job. The hours, location you worked in, lunch breaks, dress code, etc. were set --- in stone. No one had heard of signing bonuses.
Now, it is common for executives and middle management people to do some, if not most or all, of their work at their own pace from a cottage location. As a result, some of the magic we had to offer with MLM that existed only in our domain is now possible in the regular job world. Some management people actually earn high salaries while playing golf with potential clients. So how can we compete with that? Or CAN we compete with that effectively?
Well, I say "Yes, absolutely!" We just need to take the time to find out some things about our prospects so that we know how to position our program with charisma. One of the most effective ways to hook the "Donald Trumps" of the world is with a sensational product result. I got a typical phone call the other day from a satisfied customer who had lost 15 pounds in just 6 days. He said he would HAVE to join my company because everybody was asking what in the world he was doing to melt before their very eyes! They all wanted to try the product.
Things have heated up so much since then, that he's now a director in our company. "They just take the products away from you," he laughed. What's interesting is that the first time we talked with him, we pitched the business as a possibility but it fell on deaf ears. However, he did order the product. By leading with the product, we soon had a hot business prospect. You will too, if your prospect is happy with his product results.
What can you do in today's marketplace to build an MLM business rapidly? Here are some proven guidelines:
1). Keep before/after pictures and stories on you at all times.
2). If appropriate, wear an intriguing button to snag interest while you're out and about. (I've gotten four sales in the last few days wearing my button while on errands.)
3). Use emotion to interest your customers in helping others get similar benefits.
4). Get creative when painting your job freedom benefits. (I'd point out that while he might be getting paid to play golf, it's doubtful that he was earning hefty cash bonuses and all-expense paid trips, or that he's his own boss, as I am.)
5). Point out that if he builds a great business with a stable MLM he probably doesn't need life insurance --- he will have created an even better residual income protection for his loved ones.
6). Stress how easy it is to develop multiple income streams when you've got sufficient capital to fuel rapid expansion and to plug those profits back in.
7). Remember that a satisfied customer can translate into a satisfied wholesale buyer whose loyalty will help you create more financial stability and repeat business as your distributors continue to receive promotional literature directly from the company.
8). Ask yourself if you are content with your economic situation and be clear on what it will take to set the stage for your eventual satisfaction. (For me that has always been complete freedom).
I believe that I can create more business than ever this year, but I also see that I need to make a few on-course corrections as I continually adjust yesterday's business posture so that it will work effectively tomorrow. Stay flexible, stay involved and most of all, stay committed. Many tens of thousands of people are going to become wealthy in the MLM industry, and they are going to become the new millennium industry specialists . . . One of them could be you!

Sunray Oil's Abilene Project Investors Get Excellent Return on Investment
Sunray Oil's Abilene Project, which is situated about ten miles northeast of Abilene, Texas, recently produced a "gusher." "We just completed the first well of the Abilene Project, and it flowed more than 250 barrels of oil in the initial 48 hours," says Keith Alexander, president and CEO of Sunray Oil Company, Inc. (www.sunrayinvestment.com). Noting that Sunray's investors are ecstatic about their return on investment, he continues, "We choked it back so that it would produce only 50 barrels a day (BOPD) in order to prolong the life of the well. A reserves study shows that this well should produce in excess of 55,000 barrels of oil."

"With the price of crude oil hitting an all-time high of over $70 per barrel, it's more important than ever that the U.S. reduce its reliance on foreign oil and that American oil producers step into high gear," says Alexander. "Right now Americans are consuming over 20 million barrels a day and the U.S. is importing over half of that. This is why domestic drilling – such as Sunray's Abilene Project – is such a boon to American consumers."
Sunray Oil employs the latest seismic, directional drilling, logging, and completion technologies to transform unproductive oil projects into profitable ventures. "Because each location and formation has different characteristics, our engineers and geologists implement state of the art technology to maximize production," says Alexander.
Sunray has begun drilling the Abilene Project's second well, which should be completed within a week. The company has identified over a dozen other drill sites, and anticipates pinpointing an additional 100 drill sites on the oil field. "Overall estimates place the reserves on this site at slightly under 5 million barrels, with projected net revenues of over $150 million," says Alexander.
With investor support, Sunray Oil continues to pump the crude by taking over leases of existing abandoned wells and transforming them into steady and lucrative oil-producing success stories. "Research has proven that extending and sustaining the life of a well is more economically advantageous than drilling a new well," says Alexander. "Sunray's focus is on minimizing risk to its investors while maximizing economic returns."
Abilene is but one of Sunray Oil's promising projects. "We're confident that reworking and drilling existing oil leases in a variety of oil fields will continue to add to our company's bottom line, and help reduce America's dependence on foreign oil in the process," Alexander says.
Since it is unlikely that congressional approval for drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) will be forthcoming, and Alaska's Prudhoe Bay pipeline infrastructure is crumbling and causing oil spills, it is up to oil producers in the lower 48 to keep the oil pumping. The Texas-based Sunray Oil Company, as an independent oil and gas company with over 50 years of experience in acquiring, drilling, completing, and reworking oil and gas leases, is doing just that.
